Saturday Morning
About our Meeting…
The Saturday Morning Asbury SAA Meeting is one of the older meetings in the Valley.
We’ve been meeting every Saturday since 1987. Attendance has varied from 10 to as many as 40 men and women
who all want to stop their addictive sexual behavior.
What goes on…
We start each meeting with a moment of silence followed by the Serenity Prayer.
This is followed by readings, including the SAA 12 Steps.
We then do a brief feeling check to how we are doing, share announcements about things
going on in the SAA Program and of interest to sex addicts.
Participants then have a choice: Newcomers to SAA receive an introduction to our program. If someone has suggested a topic for discussion that day, a group forms to discuss topic. The other participants break into small groups and share their recent experiences about their addiction and other recent events. If they want, other members can comment on what they felt about what was shared. We find this "check-in and feedback" help keeps us sober and growing in our life and recovery.
